A mother of a deaf girl in Canada believes other parents should learn sign language, too. The first few years of her daughter’s life, her family focused on trying to get a cochlear implant for her. But no one told her she should learn to sign. As a result, she feels her daughter and her family missed time. She now works at a deaf agency advocating that parents should learn sign language earlier. Read their story at the link.
