European Federation of Parents of Hearing Impaired Children (FEPEDA) is an umbrella organization. It represents European parents associations for deaf children. Thus, its member organizations include national and regional associations in the European Union. It also includes associations from Central Europe and the Community of Independent States. Meanwhile, FEPEDA promotes an inclusive European Society for deaf children and young people. For example, they help exchange knowledge for parents across Europe. They also advocate for better laws for deaf people.

As a European parents association for deaf children, FEPEDA organizes family meetings. These meetings help families of deaf children join together across Europe.

The FEPEDA website has some accessibility barriers for people using screen reading software. For example, some web links simply say “read more”. This makes it unclear where the links lead. Also, some of the text does not contrast well with the background. Thus, it is difficult for people to read some of the text.

Also learn how families of deaf children can make their community deaf-friendly.
