Deaf children with additional disabilities can and do grow into successful adults with a good education. However, many teachers of deaf students have little training in how to accommodate additional disabilities. In response, the authors used surveys, focus groups, and individual interviews to listen to teachers. As a result, they summarize what they learned from the experience of teachers of deaf children with additional disabilities. Furthermore, the authors focus on teachers in primary and secondary schools in the United States. Additionally, they explain how teacher training programs and schools can improve.
